This month has been set aside to be suicide awareness and prevention month.
The World Wide accepted day was on Friday the 10th of September 2021 with the global theme being “Creating Hope Through Action”
At Pad-Up Africa, we create our own little hope to not so privileged girls and women. We try to save them from the trauma and emotional stress they would go through with a heavy impact in fully facing societal issues like bad menstrual education, sexual molestation and abuse, female genital mutilation, domestic violence, rape and others.
We help in creating hope by partnering with people to provide resources, listen to people that fall within four audience when we can, address challenges and just offer our shoulders.
As the campaign continues, beyond this month, suicide is not an option and we would continue to do what we can in our little way as an organization.
