Empowering Women Across Generations! On March 29th, 2025, SHIELD Girls2Women, in partnership with Pad Up Africa, commemorated International Women’s Day with a powerful outreach! We tackled the crucial intersection of mental and menstrual health, addressing inter-generational impacts.

Both organizations, kicked off a day filled with insightful discussions with 25 women in attendance at the karimu community chief palace.
Experts shed light on mental health’s effects during menstruation, debunked myths, and emphasized open dialogue. We explored menstrual health management, cultural stigmas, and the importance of self and financial development.

Breakout sessions fostered mentorship (35-45), collaboration (40-55), and inclusion for women with disabilities. We distributed menstrual health packs and refreshments, concluding with heartfelt appreciation from community leaders. This initiative aimed to accelerate action, ensuring holistic health and support for all women.
